Energy Storage System Battery Installations

This session covers the Canadian Electrical Code and building construction requirements in applicable Codes. This ties in with how other codes relate to the Building Code. Application of the Safety Codes Act and regulations for alterations (construction requirements) is covered as well as Permit Regulation and applicable permits. How Safety Codes Officers (Electrical and/or Building) are involved in installation practices is also covered.

Summary
This 3.5 hour course will introduce the basic functionality of Microsoft Excel and key applications for its use in the construction. Attendees will learn about the core functions in Excel that are used everyday. They will also learn about how to format Excel documents to generate reports for tracking, RFI's CCNs and other core construction functions. Basic charting functions (trending, tacking, etc.) will be covered allowing for more advances visual reports to be generated. Several key templates will be generated for the attendees to take away and use/develop themselves.

These efforts are extended through a charitable organization created by Jason in 2020, and his consulting business, Tapitow Li Salay. These are complex documents often with internal inconsistencies and issues. Using real world examples attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how the specification document is built along with strategies to identify issues ahead of time.
